    Responsibilities

    PURPOSE
    Execute processes and specific tasks related to the management of stores inventory in support of ongoing operations and maintenance activities. Inclusive of storeroom process such as; sourcing, requisitioning, receipt, inventory, inventory processes, issuance, security, and organization of parts and supplies in the storeroom. Additionally the OMSC will interface with operations personnel daily to ensure the scope of the required maintenance activities are adequately supported with parts and supplies as needed. The OMSC will work in close concert with the Maintenance Planner ensuring correct BOM exist for planned jobs and coordinating the availability of the required parts and supplies to support the overall maintenance plan.
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Executes all storeroom process and develops continuous improvement actions to maximize service levels at optimal cost levels
    - Track and communicate key performance metrics as related to storeroom performance, assist with other PM tracking and posting as appropriate
    - Performs required duties according to Caraustar policies and control procedures
    - Reconciles requisitions and invoices for satisfactory payment approval
    - Maintains vendor contacts and facilitates new vendor request as needed
    - Assigns and verifies proper account and equipment coding on all transactions
    - Contacts vendors to clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
    - Interfaces with operating department for proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments and assists in resolving invoice and payment discrepancies
    - Assists the Accounting department and Corporate Controller with interpreting and resolving any discrepancies related to parts and supplies procurement/payment
    - Assists the in monthly reconciliation of R&M & Supplies spend/budget
    - Supports weekly R&M & Supplies forecasting and performance management
    - Develops BOM documentation on plant equipment
    - Prepares job kits per work plans, works closely with planner and technicians to optimize kitting process
    - Interface daily with operators to ensure needs/plans are supported via proper parts and supplies availability
    - Executes work flow within CMMS
    - Works closely with Maintenance Planner in developing job plans and support processes 
    - Ensures a safe and healthy workplace.
    - Performs required duties according to Caraustar policies and control procedures
    - Comply in all respects with the provisions of the Caraustar Standards of Business Conduct Policy
     
    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Assist with closing out all department work orders. Including updating the work orders with comments from mechanics, updating BOMs, editing PM tasks, etc.
    - Assist with developing PM’s and the PMO process especially related to parts requirements
    - Assist with developing Lockout/Tagout procedures and auditing
    - Assist in developing training programs and materials and documenting technician completions and certifications as required

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    - High school diploma or equivalent required, preferred associate degree or higher
    - Preferred experience in industrial store room management of at least 2 years or equivalent industrial supplies/parts management experience
    - Reliability to verify own work to ensure accuracy essential.
    - Must be organized and detail-oriented. 
    - Ability to proficiently multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
    - Excellent interpersonal skills.
    - Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, CMMS and other computer based tools is a required (i.e. JDE, MS Project)
