Oversees identification, development and realization of profitable growth through sales of consumer packaging. Focus is on driving new sales, delighting customers and growing the business. This role also provides guidance to the operations team within the Plant and maintains control over the financial and budget activities of the facility. (Location: North Carolina area)
- Contributes industry expertise to commercial team. Acts in a consultative manner with sales team and customers in order to drive customer satisfaction.
- Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to drive growth.
- Ensures that customers are satisfied; rectifies a problem in an efficient and timely manner
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current prospective customers.  Maintains an understanding of pricing and proposal models
- Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the organization
- Creates and manages a strategy for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value for the territory/segment
- Manage external partner network
- Supports operations within the Plant in the areas of:
- Technical expertise
- Customer specifications
- Operations consulting
- Work closely with the plant on innovative projects that would supports sales efforts
- Manages all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Caraustar accounting policies and financial control procedures. Ensures that subordinates are trained in and aware of the requirements of the Caraustar Standards of Business Conduct Policy
- Manages staff and arranges schedule with Managers
- Analyzes corporate financial statements of profit and loss each month
- Directs and coordinates financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency
- Approves all purchase orders and consults on pricing
- Approves sales acknowledgements/estimates
- Adhere and execute all company policies and procedures
- Oversee tabulating and turn in inventory spreadsheet to Controller at month-end
- Manage the logistics of the product in the production facilities
- Ensures a safe and healthy workplace 
- Comply in all respects with the provisions of the Caraustar Standards of Business Conduct Policy required
- Determine staffing requirements, training and hiring requirements of new employees and oversee personnel processes
- Service all current vendors and cultivate new ones


Desired Experience/Qualifications/Education
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university desired and/or at least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience with significant post-High School course completion and commitment to completion of Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Decision-making reflects maturity, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to resolve conflict in a proficient and timely manner.
