Responsibilities

Summary
Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the month end closing of multiple facilities, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, evaluating and documenting existing controls and processes.  The position will also support the Tube and Core Group with detailed financial and cost analysis. 
 
Core Duties
- Prepare financial statements and reports, analyzing variances between prior month and budget
- Prepare journal entries
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations and analysis of accrual accounts
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Weekly monitor of the RNI, Intercompany In-transit and account analysis reports
- Preparation of audit requests
- Prepare Sales/Use tax returns and other government required documents
- Other projects/duties as assigned
- Previous experience with Standard Costing Analysis

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Must have a BA/BS in Accounting
- 2 + years supporting a multi plant environment/multi-locations
- 1+ years of JDE and Cognos experience
- Bilingual Spanish and English (written & verbal) desirable, but not required
- Interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills
- The ability to handle multiple projects with a keen attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to interface with all levels in the organization
- Exposure to foreign currency accounting would be a plus
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
