Responsibilities

Entry level position working in a union shop. Non-climate controlled mill environment. Must be able to perform general labor duties as needed. Must be able to train for next job level.
 
More specific duties are as follows:

  
   50 lbs - Lifting ,Bending, Standing, Walking
Push or Pull 10lbs
Climb a ladder
Able to drive a forklift, bobcat, and inspect the equipment.
Able to use an overhead crane
Able to proper use of measuring equipment
work as part of a team
maintain a safe work environment
Assist with the discharge of huge rolls of paper
Utilize pole on the trims
Break rolls and ribbons
Operate a bander to band trims
Maneuver ribbons and rolls onto an upender (Skid)
Understand correct storage layout of plugs, skids, sticks, headers and stretch wrap.
Assist in threading the dryer rope
Locate and identify customer’s standards
Read and package products accordingly
Use hose on build up on felts and rolls
 Use of Hammers, wedges, and other tools. 
      

Qualifications

Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or, GED
Some Experience on a Fork Lift preferred
Valid Driver License
Good Transportation
Good Communication Skills
Be able to work rotating shifts (Days and Nights)
Work some Overtime when needed
Union Environment
