Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Technician
- 3rd Shift
- Maintain Quality Assurance System for consumer packaging section. Make sure the quality system comply with SQF Code and cGMP
- Perform processes audit (from pre-press till shipping), quality assurance check in each process. Samples retention, testing and evaluating. Make sure that finished goods are met with customer requirements and specifications.
- Perform cGMP audit (plant sanitation + hygiene audit). Report all the food safety issues (if any) to QA M in timely manner
- Customer > perform customer’s sample submission, CoA, CoC. Part of customer complaint process and solution
- Supplier > review and random check supplier’s CoA or CoC. Raw Material received auditing and reporting. Part of supplier complaint process and solution
- Non-conforming management
- Finished goods or material (defects) >are reported, documented and separated.
- Process  > wrong, missing step(s) are reported

- Perform all the tests, maintain QA database
- (part of) Inventory management > Label management (case & pallet) random audit if needed.
- Retention management
- Completed job jackets
- Samples, printed sheet, proof, color standard (A/W if needed)
- QMS documentation

- Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) management
- Part of information reporting and gathering
- Monitoring some of CoPQ factors (not yet defined the factors, for example > QA Tech can help monitor and record defected cartons etc.)

 

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Min 3 yrs Quality inspection / assurance experience in manufacturing environment.
- Food and/or packaging manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Associated degree is preferred
- Familiar with the regulatory guideline requirements for HACCP & SQF.
- Able to work at a fast pace within a team and a diverse workforce environment.
- Required to use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Regularly required to operate lab equipment, must be able to exchange accurate information.
- Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends.
- Occasionally required to push/pull/move 30 lbs. or more.
- Quality, safety minded, reliable, precise and self-motivated.
